Career and Personal Paths
I have training in exercise science and a graduate degree in Administration. I was in manufacturing for the company Gemex as sales manager for 32 years before I became the owner and president of the company until it was sold in 2017. I was on the board of directors of the Association Québécoise des Intervenants en Fournitures de Bureau (AQIF – Office furniture sector association of Quebec). I have been secretary-treasurer of the board of directors of the Services Externes de Main d’œuvre de Granby et Région (SEMO – External labour services) for many years.
Why I Became an Entrepreneur or Administrator
The opportunity to acquire a company allowed me to develop my interest for day-to-day management and to be involved in all aspects of a company in terms of growth.
Why I Am a Mentor
I would like to share my experience by helping new entrepreneurs and to remain involved in the business community. I would also like to discover other business sectors.
My Guiding Values
Listening, helping others, respect, family, and friends. Humour is part of my daily life, which allows me to create a pleasant working environment.
My Passions and Interests
As a sports enthusiast, I need to be active, so I bike and play squash, golf, and hockey. I adore travelling but also planning the trips. I enjoy discovering the food, wine, and culture of other countries. I am also interested in current events.
